About The Artist, Cori Beychok
I am an unrepentent jewelry junky and rock hound, having begun collecting rocks and crystals while barely out of toddlerdom. A few years ago my husband issued an ultimatum - go through a 12-step program or learn to make jewelry. Not able to face going cold turkey, I left my mainstream career as a scienctist/writer. I attended the jewelry making program at the North Bennet Street School in Boston and began working my way through a graduate gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America. After graduating from North Bennet Street, I spent a few years sweating for some very fine jewelers in and around Boston. Working for other artistic lunatics, though, was not the life for me, so I decided to become my own slave and created Jaunty Jewels.The end -
